We believe that age-appropriate direct instruction is an important part of the preschool day. We focus on phonemic awareness and basic number sense, along with weather and calendar awareness. In addition, we incorporate social studies and science into our weekly themes.

Each family receives a pacing guide at the beginning of the year so that they are aware of the skills that we are teaching, as well as special days. In addition, they receive a calendar each month that will contain information about skills, themes, and special days as well.

Our basis for instruction for phonemic awareness is Letterland, and our teachers use a variety of other resources to teach the curriculum. In addition to the basic curriculum, our 1- and 2-year-olds are introduced to sign language and our 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds are introduced to Spanish.
