Rebekah Brooks

"Hello, I am Mrs. Beka and I am excited to serve in the 2 year old classroom as the teacher assistant with Mrs. Mandy. I am also the Social Media Coordinator at Grace Church. Originally from Charlestown, IN, I moved to Concord at the age of 4. I received my BSN from East Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from Gardner Webb University. In 2013 I married the love of my life, Kenny and together we have two sons: Michael (10), and Elijah “Eli” (8), as well as, a daughter in Heaven named Harper.

After a career as a Registered Nurse, I am grateful to have the time and flexibility to volunteer at my sons’ school and serve in various ministries at Grace Church. I lead the Prayer Notes Ministry, help in the children and youth ministries, and love my Life Group. In my spare time, you likely will find me cheering on my boys at the football or baseball fields.

Some of my favorite books include The Bible, Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate, Rhythms of Renewal by Rebekah Lyons, and When God Doesn’t Fix It by Laura Story. My favorite movies/TV include Inside Out 1 & 2, The Chosen, and Biblical documentaries like Drive Thru History: Ends of the Earth. Musically, I enjoy Contemporary Christian, Country, and some good old southern gospel, especially by Elvis.

My youngest son’s antics often make me laugh, and I have a hidden talent for photography, designing, organizing, and gardening, according to my husband. For fun, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and find solace in nature. My family and I love to travel, especially “glamping” in our camper. My favorite place to visit is the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and I love to indulge in anything sweet; especially a Heath Bar or a Cherry Lemon Sundrop."
